Workshop on Digital Human Rights and Remedies, King's College London
Wednesday 7 October 2026, 09:00–10:45 · Moot Court Room, King's College Law School, Somerset House, London
Veronika presented a paper at the Workshop on Digital Human Rights and Remedies at King's College London, on "What, who, and when of remedies in the digital context".
The two-day workshop examined how individuals can obtain remedies for harms caused by digital technologies — at company, domestic and international levels — and the legal developments needed to make those remedies effective. Discussion focused on barriers to identifying and proving harmful practices, diffuse and collective harms, the speed and scale of digital violations, and gaps in accountability across borders and technology supply chains.
The workshop was organised by Yuval Shany, Maria Varaki and Yohannes Ayalew as part of the ERC project "Three Generations of Digital Human Rights", based at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
